One of the hardest things I had to deal with was my mother exhausting her own money and making the transition to her coverage under Medicaid. This is a daunting task made so much easier by the assistance of a helpful staff member who specializes in the Medicaid approval process. The transition period for payment of services between my mother’s personal financing and coverage under Medicaid was particularly unsettling. However, with assurances from staff that this was a process and not a potential disaster resulting in my mother being put out on the street, this matter was resolved with the Department of Social Services.

My Mother loved all the aides and the two angels who were her nurses…

My Mother loved all the aides and the two angels who were her nurses. I cannot tell you what it meant to me and my family that each night we could leave her in their care and know all was well with her because of all of them. It was truly amazing how my mother felt about them. I can never say enough to show our gratitude.

She Related to My Mother as a Person

I hope this letter will convey to you how much my family appreciates the care that my mother received from your staff during her stay. My mother’s nurse was very kind and thoughtful. She was aware of how much it meant to our family to answer our questions and to keep us informed. So, she took care of us too! I also want to recognize two other staff members. A GNA, who was very genuine and she helped my mother feel safe and cared for. She went the extra mile and was very attentive. She related to my mother as a person. My mom also felt supported by a medicine aide who would give my mom her medication with such a positive attitude. She told my mom how much she hoped she would feel better. Her warm smile was very healing to my Mom and her family. My mother’s stay was outstanding and I have praised her care to my family and friends.

They Brighten my Day

The HICU nurses are wonderful, nice and understanding. They are willing to meet the needs of their patients. They brighten my day and make me laugh. Many times, I feel better just by their presence. Also, the patient rooms are very neat and tidy too.

Caregivers that Care

I know from experience that nursing home work is one of the most demanding (both physically and emotionally) jobs a person can choose. It is so refreshing when you find caregivers that actually CARE and put their heart in to their work! You gave us such a piece of mind knowing our Mom was in good hands.

Love

Thank you again for everything, although I wish there was a bigger and better word that would describe how you all made us feel during Mom’s stay. I know…. LOVE!!!!!

They Became Family

We quickly learned that the nurses were wonderful and they became family also. It was great to go in and see them joking with the residents and bringing a smile to their faces or giving them hugs. They knew they were loved.
