We must make sure that nursing homes have the resources they need to continue providing quality care.
Research from Harvard, Brown, and the University of Chicago shows that the location of a nursing home is important. If there are more COVID-19 cases in a community, there will also be more COVID-19 cases in a nursing home located in that community.
As COVID-19 cases rise in communities, nursing homes will face additional challenges. They need priority access to testing, personal protective equipment (PPE), and funding. In addition, nursing homes need federal and state government support for priority vaccine distribution.
